Andrea is currently CBC Music Producer on the program Canada Live as well as Recording Producer of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and other ensembles for In Concert, Tempo and Choral Concert.

From 1985 to 1995 she produced RSVP, the popular classical music request program hosted by Leon Cole. She has been guest host on In Performance, Take Five, That Time of the Night and Music for Awhile. Andrea has also been host and producer of both CBC Radio’s Northern Lights and Arts Encounters.

Born in Winnipeg, Andrea holds a Bachelor of Music from the University
of Manitoba, and a Master's degree from the University of Michigan. A
former student of Jan Kocman, Principal Flutist of the WSO, she enjoys
playing folk music from all over the world on the flute with her
husband, button accordionist and composer, Jim Hiscott.

Andrea has contributed her talents to the Agassiz Festival for many years, and we are delighted to welcome her to our stage once again.
